てくれましたが、そういう語源に、僕はとても興味があります。すで
にノンちゃんが言ってくれたことと重複する部分もありますけど、以
下に OED Online の mishmash の語源欄の説明を紹介します。

英語の mishmash は、ドイツ語のみならず、フリースランド語・オラ
ンダ語・スウェーデン語・デンマーク語・イディッシュ語など、たくさ
んの言語の中によく似た単語があることがわかります。面白いので、
