初めてここに投稿します。在宅フリーランス1年目の新米です。大学時代は英文科を専攻していました。卒業後はイギリスにボランティア留学をしていました。現在は、主にソフトウェア関係の翻訳をしています。新米でわからないところがたくさんありますので、色々と教えてもらえないでしょうか。現在会計のソフトウェアの翻訳に携わっています。その中でA child table of Bank Code. A child table of Collection Class Control. というセンテンスがあるのですが　child table の意味がわからず困っています。どうかどなたか助けてもらえないでしょうか。

記事番号6326へのコメント竹内さん、こんにちは。私もデータベース関係に詳しくありませんが、検索することで何とかなりそうです。以下、Google を使った場合です。 "called * child table" "or child table" "known as * child table" で検索すると child table とともに parent table dependent table related table などの語句も見つかります。連想をはたらかせて、親テーブル子テーブル親表子表と予想します。さらにこれらの語句を検索してみる、という手順になります。英語か日本語のサイトで、役に立つ説明を見つけてください。 ... create what is known as a child table. ●A child table is a table in which all the entries share common information that is stored in another table. A simple example is a membership directory; the family shares a common last name, address, and phone number, but each family member has a different first name.
